Chef Sandhun’s Banana flambé Recipe
Born in the knuckles of Central Sri Lanka, our Pastry Chef Sandhun has always been fond of sweets. The habit of helping his mother grew to the extent he decided to take up the hobby as a profession. Sandhun has been a part of Mirihi’s wondrous culinary team for over 15 years. Here’s a small greeting from Sandhun – recipe of one of his favourite dishes.
Ingredients (06 servings)
1 Tbsp Butter
2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
1 Tbsp Pecans chopped
1 ripe Bananas sliced
3 Tbsp Dark Rum
1 scoop Sour Cream Ice
- Melt butter in skillet over medium heat.
- Add brown sugar and pecan nuts, stirring until sugar dissolves.
- Add bananas and cook a few minutes on both sides until softened.
- Flambé the bananas with rum
Serve the bananas hot with the scoop ice cream on top.
